22q at the Zoo 2018

Join Geisinger’s Autism & Developmental Medicine Institute (ADMI) at Lake Tobias to raise awareness for 22q11.2 deletion syndrome! 22q at the Zoo gives families a chance to have a fun-filled day at the zoo, socialize with other 22q families, and help raise the public profile of this relatively common condition which is also sometimes called DiGeorge or Velo-cardio-facial syndrome.

Time: 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Where: Lake Tobias Wildlife Park | 760 Tobias Road, Halifax, PA 17032
Tickets: FREE for the first 100 people on a first-come, first-served basis (max 4 tickets per family). Tickets include everything in the park, including the safari, petting zoo, exhibits, and reptile show. Parking is free. We will also have 100 free 22q at the Zoo t-shirts available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Experience the wild at Lake Tobias Wildlife Park with hundreds of animals from around the world. Guided safari tours take you over 150 acres of rolling hills with herds of animals and flightless birds. You will encounter the exotic as you stroll around the zoo exhibits where interesting creatures educate and entertain you. The Reptiles & Exotics facility will thrill you with eye-opening presentations that will enlighten you on these fascinating creatures. You can even touch an alligator if you dare. Check out the Baby Animal department and the new, award-winning Museum and Education Center.
